Thursday 7th January

Ok, so im sorry for this picture, as I have cheated a little, but I could either take more snow pictures myself, or just share this monumental picture taken by Nasa's Terra satellite today.

This just goes to show the current predicament the UK finds itself in weather wise, and quite frankly this is the worst snow/ice I have ever seen in the UK....all in all this picture showcases a moment in time for me, and I had to use it.

Wednesday 6th January

Well well, I was a little bit torn as to what picture to publish for the 7th, but it was either a picture of more snow, or a picture of something that was an achievement in its self, and filled the lads in work with lots of talk for the day...

This is the notorious Jim Holland (currently my landlord) demolishing a 20 item brekkie from the canteen at VF HQ, a heart attack on a plate for £9!! He has now set himself the challenge of 25 items!

Tuesday 5th January

Walking home on Tuesday, even more snow had fallen, and yes it was dark again.....this whole thing of walking to work and from work in the dark is really starting to get to me, perhaps I need a lightbox?

Monday 4th January

Apologies for the delay in uploading my pictures for the week, its been a little crazy!

Walking to work in the dark after having a nice break over xmas.....this is as good as my view gets on the way to work.

With a light dusting of snow.....hmmm this was a sign of things to come for the week!

As I was travelling to Newbury today (coming back so I'm ready for work tomorrow), I took a look up and saw 9 planes all within a small radius of each other, this one being the clearest and most spectacular of them all....and it just made me think....why am I not on that plane with my family, going somewhere to experience something different, instead of going back to work

This was taken whilst Iben was going for her first walk on the beach, waving to the dogs that were running around, "Hiya" being the favorite saying of the afternoon!

What is this all about?

So having read a tweet from a friend of mine @henweb, I have decided to join him in trying to depict the year 2010 in pictures, taken from my camera, my iPhone, my web cam or my blackberry.

There are a number of reasons for me joining in with this, and they are as follows:

1 - It is my wife's 40th birthday in December 2010, and as this is a special age (I keep telling her its not, but come on, its 40!!) I would like to try and create something special for her to remember.

2 - I am a nightmare when it comes to sticking to these things, and this time I have a real reason to stick with it, so I'm here for the long haul!

3 - I actually like taking pictures, I think I get this from my father, so I will actually enjoy doing this, and hopefully improve my photography at the same time!

So here goes...its time to start....I will try and post a picture everyday, however this may not be possible, but rest assured I will be updating every week at the very minimum!

Some of the pictures will be a bit random, some very interesting, some not so much (to you anyway), but they will all be real pictures of something/somewhere/someone that has had an impact on my life during that day!

I'll enjoy doing this, and I hope that whoever reads this also does!
